So I have a laptop with inbuilt microphone that is really terrible. Because of it, I cannot communicate through TS3 because no one understand what I say.

I need a headset with USB up to 75 € with a decent microphone and good sound system (7.1 pref). Also, since it’s a laptop, I have a kittenty sound card which has only 1 jack for either microphone or sound.
I’m thinking of buying Logitech G430 but I’m not sure anymore, since the reviews aren’t that good. Waiting for recommendations
P.S. does sound splitter reduces sound quality?

I use the genius HS-G700V. Not the best, but I’ve never had issues with it going on almost 2 years now

Edit – Correction, passed the 2 year mark 3 days ago. What are the odds.

Mic quality is good, never had any complaints about being hard to understand.

As for quality of the suond, I can run on max volume with no distortion. The only thing I feel I should point out is that the padding around the earcups vibrate to better simulate the effect of bass, but if you dislike it and turn it off the bass is rather lackuster.

I use the Turtle Beach PX22. Good mic and I really like the inline control ( separate volume knobs for system audio, chat audio, and voice monitor, ) treble and bass knobs, and mic mute levels. It’ll connect over a single 3.5mm jack and USB so it should work on your laptop. You can also detach the headphones from the amp and use them on their own ( it’s a 4-pole 3.5mm jack, ) say for a phone or tablet if you really wanted.

They don’t have virtual 7.1 as you would like, but they only run $60 USD ( about €50. ) I got them because they’re about as universal as it gets ( I use them for my PC, PS3, and mobile devices every now and then. )

There’s no mistaking it- if you want quality, you’ll usually have to pay top dollar. I find most mid-range headphones give you great audio for around $129-$199, but if you’re going for something that has a limit I’d suggest the ATH-M40x or ATH-M30x.

the M30x is a cheaper variant in case the M40x is too much out of your price range, but this line is made to have studio recording power (the “M” stands for “Monitor”, if that’s any indication for you). I’m fairly certain you can grab a mic extension to go along with these, and that’d fit you perfectly. Audio Technica have a great model in these bad boys, and they are the work horses of the industry.

ATH-M40x is $99 USD (86 Euros)
ATH-M30x is $69 USD (60.25 Euros)
