Can i still enjoy this without the expansion? last time i play this is 2014 i think.

Depends on what you do in game. But w/o hot you wont have access to the new HoT maps, new profession Revenant, elite specs, masteries tracks, raids, etc. HoT was a feature based expac, so you do miss out on a lot. But again it depends what you like to do in game.

All the game that you bought in 2014 is still there and can be played without HoT expansion. Specially old PvE maps are very much playable. There could be some problems in competitive modes like PvP and WvW since HoT-owners have access to elite specs and some HoT-specific items.

Well the core game is still there, and there is still activity in the old regions so you can ofc play it and enjoy those parts.
Without HoT you will not be able to use the elitespecs or the new revenant class. You can not glide and you don’t have access to the new maps and you are not as competitive in wvw and pvp. You can not enter guildhalls either i think nor use the crafting profession scribing. And the mastery system is ofc also off limits for you.

A lot that you miss out on, but the core game is as i said still there for you to play as it was when you left it.

Just a small correction…You can enter the GHs once claimed, you just cannot take part in claiming them. One of my guildies has a child who does not have HoT(they don’t play enough to worry about it), but they can enter our GH. They can even contribute things for the upgrades. I’m not sure about the Scribing part.

All of original game is there, as has been said. Usually more traffic in lower level areas thanks to dailies, achievements, and people working on collections.
