Welcome Jemi. I hope you enjoy your time in game. Remember to explore and have a good time. There are lots of secret locations and treasures in every map so don’t just rush trough map completion after another. Check the orange box in the right top corner when it appears. It will lead you to that maps end boss and many of them are VERY impressive. Don’t be shy about asking for advice. People in general are very helpful.

Also don’t bother with builds yet and do what feels the most fun. Gear and traits are semi-irrelevant until you hit 80.
If you feel like you need advice at some point, feel free to whisper me if I happen to be online at the time. Have a good time!

My daughter also plays an Asura Necromancer, mine is human. I have played mine most of all my characters, which should tell you that Necromancer is quite playable and fun.

I play quite abit every day, except this weekend we have a houseguest, so I am a bit restricted until tomorrow. If you happen to see me logged in the game, feel free to ask about anything that comes to your mind.

By the way you’ll probably find (if you haven’t already) a big crowd of people and a lot of weird and crazy things going on in one corner of the asura city.

Don’t worry about it, it’s just an extended April Fools joke in the form of an instanced “mini” game. Try it out, it’s fun.

Wow thanks for all your support guys/girls! I started the game and wow it’s so user friendly and I have a good laptop I run 90% of the settings on the highest setting and it’s on 1080p and man oh man the game is BEAUTIFUL!

Garambola and some others have said to message them, but which name do I use when messaging?

/whisper[name], [message] —-—— is the context, but which name, your forum name or your character name?

Is there a friends list and can you voice chat in the game?

So I can message someone by using “/w”. Can I only whisper people in my server?

You can whisper and mail cross servers, you can join dungeons cross servers, and the Trading Post is game-wide.

The whispers go to the game name. I find it easiest to click the portrait or the name in chat or guild panels and select Whisper, rather than trying to type out the names people have come up with.

You can add people to your contact list with the name that shows here. Then you can pick from that list those who are online to whisper. Whispers always go to the player even if they change characters.

As Donari said, you can whisper to anyone in the game and you mail anyone in the game. Joining dungoens, however, is restricted to one’s Region (NA or EU) same as guesting.

Welcome enjoy the game Word of advice if necro does not work for ya try a different class. Too many people give up when there first class does not work out. You are given 5 slots for a reason, so experiment away.
