I really dig this color scheme and was wondering if anyone here can recognize the dyes by name, most significantly the one the “metallic” parts of the armor are colored in

EDIT: I’m an idiot, forgot the link

Looking at the dyes here, the right most pair is on heavy which is mainly metal

I would say either Celestial or White. Neither are inexpensive, quite the opposite.

I use Fluff for white

Note that it is tough to ID dyes by sight for a variety of reasons:

  1. Displays, display settings and images captured / saved can alter the color drasticly.
  2. The materials the dye is being applied to effect the color being displayed. This includes different pieces of the same armor set and even different locations / dye areas on the SAME armor piece.
  3. Many dyes have alternate color channels that only show up when applied to certain materials / armor pieces. EX: Heirloom is usually a dark RED, but will show golden and even yellow on certain areas of some armors.
  4. There is a wide variation in subtle shades of color seen from one individual to the next.

Search on the trading post by rarity.

You know that the first 2 and last are rare and the third is fine. None are exclusive. Get the armor on, preview colors to see which color hue is in which slot. Then filter rare dyes and check the icons (if you look at the icons, it means you don’t have to check the ones where the icon is different). Mouse over each one till you see a likely color match and preview it. It’s even easier if you look at the name. If you are looking for a yellow dye then one named Emerald (for example) is obviously not it.

The fine one will be harder but even those have 2 icons so you can disregard the ones that don’t match the icon you are looking for and mouse through the rest.

(The yellow one might be Redemption)

I would guess

White or celestial

Redemption or illumination

And blood or the other popular rare red dye.

Only the yellow will come semi cheap

Abyss and celestial are the best.

Abyss and celestial are the best.

I’ll agree with you when one drops for me….I’d never pay that much for a dye.

Midnight Blue fakes a very good black on most parts and Fluff gives a decent White (I don’t particularly like how Celestial glows anyway).
