ADDTLDR: Looking for a profession that can solo most non group mandated PvE content during the hour I play in off peak hours.

I will try to be as specific as possible in what I am looking for.

I have a 80 Engineer already and a 47 Guardian.

I mainly play for about an hour in the morning before starting my day, and it has increasingly become harder and harder to do things like Dynamic Events as the populations during that time seem to be dwindling in the zones (probably plenty in LA looking for FotM). So I am looking for a class that I can get the most bang for my buck sort to speak during my hour of play. I’m not big into PvP though I enjoyed the little of WvWvW I got to experience playing my Engineer the weekend I was sick. Dungeons are a nice idea but once again I play for about an hour on off peak times so finding one and then getting it done all in 60min not really an option most the time. So please help me out and suggest something I can solo most/all non group DEs and Zones with. Would like something that is fun to level up with and not something that is “great for farming once you get to 80”, I prefer the journey more then that destination, just having a hard time enjoying the journey recently.

I have never had a problem soloing a standard DE on my engi. Guardian is even easier. Not sure what you’re looking for exactly.

Thief. They kill things fast, level fast, move fast and are a very active and fun class that lets you either solo all of the main world PvE content or escape easily to regroup and try again if you are on the losing end of an encounter.

Mesmers are fun also because of the neat stuff they can do, but leveling them is a lot of work if you are playing alone.

@Awesome the Engineer is kinda stuck in the Straits right now, plus never was really into him not sure if it is a play style or something else, he was just my first guy so I took him to 80, the Guardian’s inventory is such a mess it is more of just needing to get over it and taking the time to sort through it to empty it out.

@AcidicVision I tried the Mesmer, and yeah at 6am, it really isn’t for me. Sounds like the Thief has some survivability, I may look at that.

I should have added, I like melee but am not opposed to ranged.

The Guardian should be able to solo just about everything in PvE except for Champions and Group Events. The Warrior can do so just as easily.

Guardian was easy and fun to get to 80. Rolled a number of classes after that my next favorite is the Ranger. I only play PVE and do world events and roam. Not much PVP and havn’t taken him into a dungeon. I have tried Ele, Eng, War & Theif. Only kept the Warrior and Ele but Ranger was my pick out of all those after my guardian.
