Hiya. Thought I’d post this here to see if I can get any help from Revenant players. I just can’t seem to “get” this class. I LOVE my Revenant character, but I feel like I basically suck with it. when I play my Reaper, I rarely, if ever, go into downed state. But on my Herald it’s a different story…I seem to be down/dead more than I am fighting. I have Herald fully unlocked with the full (exotic) armor/weapons. I feel like I get confused with which facets to use, as well as switching between the Stances. I tried looking for guides/videos but didn’t have much luck. So I guess I was wondering if any Revenant/Herald players can give me some advice on the class, or maybe if possible, show me in game how to play the class properly? I would really appreciate it since I do like the class/character.

Your problem is that you lack a heal. The rev heals are very interactive. Read what they do and then do it, for example a common comb is to use the Shiro heal + unrelenting assault.

Also it’s likely you’re using the Glint heal wrong, read what it does.

The thing abt rev is that u actually need to think outside the box if u wanna figure out how to survive, it doesn’t hold ur hand like say warrior with passive heal that u never have to worry about and so much stability or invuln or the fact that most useful utility skills like banners have a long cd or else have passive effect so u don’t need to be focused on them all the time. With rev it’s a completely diff story bc it’s all about rotations and spamming things off cd so it’s a little intimidating at 1st.

I think there’s some excellent pve guides on rev that explain evetything, especially on these forums (think it’s written by some guy named obal). There’s also things u are expected to figure out for yourself. You can stack perma prot, or else stack up to 30sec of prot for u and ur group before fight and before swapping stances. Try to experiment with such things.. as well when running solo, yeah u always wanna use f1 off cd as much as u can. Quickly stacking prot and then swapping to Jalis, and immediately activating the hammer skill — how well does this combo work? ur now at 40% dmg reduction already, which helps a lot. If you are low on health or in panic mode? Quickly swap to staff and use defensive manuevers to give yourself a little breathing space. One last thing to remember and its useful to know is that swapping stance is also a stun break, that few classes have access to unless they trait for or get utility for it (I.e. warrior).

That is also from a trait …
