I just purchased the Krytan Armor Skin and wanted to know if I can remove the skin after I put one of the pieces onto one of my armor pieces. I just want to make sure that if I put it on my crappy armor I can remove it and put it on better armor later in the game.

No, once put on it stays on. You can transmute it onto another weapon after that though.
But you can’t recover the skin itself.

(I meant armor, of course )

To clarify, if you place it on your “crappy” armor and you want to put the skin on better armor later on you can do so by using a transmutation stone. When you use the stone you can select the appearance of the “crappy” armor that is skinned with the stats of the better armor.
