Guild Wars 2

Goodday there people,

After a verry long break, since i played the game during the beta and the early days of it, im finaly back and ready to get back into the game. The onley thing i have to do is to make up wich profession to choise since im a bit looked out on the thief i was previously playing. So currently im looking for a new profession.

I already have played all of them in the early levels just to test out the feel of them so i have a basic understanding of the concept of each character.

My goals in the game is to finaly try to get to the end game as comfortable as possible whitout running into too much issues “aka dying too much”. For the rest i never have been able to expiriance the endgame content any of the pvp however it might be a fun expiriance to get into. But mainly i probably will be playing solo trying to get to the max level.

So now i ask of you people willing to help me, give me a opinion on wich proffesion might be the most usefull or fun for me to pick up. Every opinion except for thief is welcome and might help me make up my mind. Because currently im doubting too much and it might get me to start over again and again. I tend to get verry verry indecisive when i can’t make up my mind ^^

I hope that whatever you guys have to share or sugest will be able to help me. And i know that over all it counts more to what is the most fun , but i hope that whit some help i can discover this for myself.

On a side note : Feel free to sugest a race you find fitting , unique or funny whit the profession you sugest. Looking awesome in game is half the fun.

My main 80’s are a human thief and a norn guardian. The styles are different enough that I’ve been able to play them both, mostly levelling in PvE and without getting boring of repeating scenarios. I didn’t finished all map exploration yet with any of them but they are 80 and I’m on my way of getting proper weapons, armours, etc…

With the Norn Guardian I play more as a “big and strong” than with the thief, more based on mobility.

My other alts are Necro and Ranger, and it’s also fun to play them. For solo games the Ranger can be better just because the pet, although you have the Necro minions. If you want to change looks from your previos character, I’d go to light or heavy armours.

Most of the PvE content can be done solo-ing or joining the random players you can find in the maps.

Also, be sure to check the changes done yesterday, there are some stuff that is very different now.

I’ve been maining mesmer for months now and loving it. Guardian is pretty fun too, pretty popular in PvE and PvP from what I’ve seen.
