Hi guy’s,

I’m returning after a year or so of hiatus. I played as a Ranger LB/LS (when beserker was the thing everywhere) and then pistol Thief and switched back to Ranger again. After a while and with the traits big change, It kinda felt that no one, including me, knew what to do – so that lead to me to stop while, until now.

Since I do not own HoT (not cheap for me right now), and I do not want to play as a Ranger again, what would be the recommended profession for PVE (Mainly Dungeons and Fractals) right now?
Something easy to master like the Ranger but with better survival chances (Even thought I won’t have a pet to revive me).

Other question is, right now, since the traits tree has changed, the meta builds and guides have completetly changed. To follow any meta, I have to use a Non-HoT Fractal build, right?

Thank you all!

With the power creep dungeons are a joke, and with everyone else running HoT stuff in fractals you don’t need to concern yourself that much.

For fractals, I believe you’d be looking at:

Phalanx Strength (trait) Warrior. You buff all party members to 25 might constantly, are extremely durable, buff further with banners, and do good damage yourself.

I think that’s the best option. Your old ranger as a condi ranger would be massive damage and does well without druid. You can look on metabattle.com for the exact builds for anything. It’s worth looking over everything at that site anyway to see if anything else stands out to you. I mean a lot of the old core builds are still quite decent in PvE.

Edit: Or as Linken just more succinctly says, warrior.
