Guild Wars 2

I’ve narrowed down my class of choice to these two, but I can’t seem to make a final decision. What I would like to know is…

-Which class has better burst damage?
-What are the biggest drawbacks to each class?

That’s it! I think I can make a decision off of those two things. Thanks in advance

Burst damage depends on builds. Thief probably? But glass-cannon build eles can put out a ton of damage, so IDK. Maybe try asking in the class forums.

Ele has a more active and engaging playstyle. Harder to learn, but once you have it down you rock in ways other classes simply can’t. Battles are more like dances, only the dance floor is the skulls of your enemies. I’m still learning, but I can already see how I can be really deadly once I get it down.

My thief is simply more boring to play. I love her anyway, but ele is my main and I have a blast. The biggest drawback is that eles are fairly squishy atm.

I only tried thief out during the beta, but what I got from her was this (PvE experience only, I don’t PvP):
Thief is absolutely deadly on a single target, but not particularly good (and rather squishy) against groups of enemies.
