Most zones I have been in were very active with people and DE’s.

But atm I am in FireHeart Rise. I Only saw 5 other player the entire time I was there. 2 DE’s were done with myself and 1 other person. The 3rd and final DE was me and 2 people. But for that one I waited in the base for 5 minutes before 1 person showed up and we started the DE then the 2nd person showed up a few minutes later. I was in the zone for I would say 3 hours last night and it just seemed really lonely.

I am wondering if Frostgorge Sound, Malchor’s Leap, Or Straits of Devastaion are more active. Or Am I find myself just at the wrong level at the wrong time so there just aren’t many people between 65 and 79?

Also with the map I am using it shows Malchor’s Leap and Straits of Devastaion as having no hearts. Do both maps have hearts?

That`s rather normal as most people level a bit slower. I was level 35 and in Lornar`s pass on the second day of prestart. During 7 hours playing in that zone i only met one other player^^ Give it a bit of time or play at different times and there are usually a few more people around

We all just hate the Flame Legion in Fireheart Rise. It’s not personal.

I was recently in Fireheart Rise, too. It was probably the least active zone I’d been in so far. Not that it was empty, I seen quite a few people just no where near the “zergfest” that the lower level areas were. Also I didn’t like the area very much; it reminded me of Ascalon from GW1 after pre-searing, with everything burnt and broken and it’s a bit depressing. I found that the more southern high-level areas (Mount Maelstrom and surrounding areas) are better populated.

Also I would guess a large percentage of players are more casual gamers and probably aren’t up to such a high level yet.

Yeah, just to give perspective, I’ve been playing most every day since launch but I’m level 22. I do alot of WvW, and general dinking around and the lower areas are still all very populated.

Soon we’ll be up there with you guys though, and it will probably even out some.

Malchor’s and Straits don’t have renown hearts, but they make up for it with dynamic event chains that span large portions of the map, and there are still karma merchants that appear when the events are completed. And these areas are both very active, as is the next area beyond them, Cursed Shore.
