What class do you guys think has the most “eye candy”. Ive always been a huge fan of games like cabal for the same reason. I bought gw 2 a few years ago and my main was an archer (not sure if it was the name of the class but you get the point). I did like the questing alot and loved the exploring but just the super boring bow skills just made me uninstall the game. Now i’m thinking of giving the game another chance but i just need eye candy for my “action camera” Please help me.

Rev is the newest class and as such has the flashiest skills in the game. However I personally find it to be the most boring class to play in the game, regardless of game mode.

Aside from that though, I find the visual effects on skills in this game to be quite amazing. Each class has a specific palette that its skills use to give each class a distinct visual style. For instance: Mesmers are pink, Necros are Green, Guardians use a lot of blue etc…

I will also add that even though the visual affects are great regardless of class, some class do have fewer effects on their skills due to the nature. I feel that Warrior and Thief have fewer effects on their skills overall, but they are still visually awesome.

Since what appeals to me may not appeal to you, I can only direct you to the wiki, to peruse the armor galleries. Each race plus male/female will look different. Then there are race-specific armors, and outfits in the gem store that anyone can wear.

Do you even see your character in Action Camera mode?

Oh hi there ! Cabal fan here ( just cabal, cuz cabal 2 sucks ) but i stop playing for a long time.

So i bet you want something like Force Archer ?

- Guardian with Dragon Hunter might fit your eyes, Youtube it. Also in addtion, Guardian is a mix playstyle between Force Shielder and Warrior ( with Great Sword ), although you need to be 80 and have elite specs to use a Bow.

- Warrior is just Warrior….they pretty much the same in gw2 and cabal.

- Revenant is somewhere between Blader and Force Blader can dual wield sword, Also Mesmer is somekind like Force Blader too but i won’t recommend it due to very hard and weak at pre-80. Rev also appear to be sluggish pre-80 ( Rev is strong but after many nerfed ppl start playing something else )

- Thief are perfectly fit to be described as a Blader but sadly they can’t dual wield sword, But you do have a lot of dodge, sneaky, fast attacks.

- Wizard of course would be Elementalist, hard to play but fun.

- Necro somehow end up having similar gameplay to Warrior in Cabal but dark theme, with elite specs Reaper, they wield a Scythe which looks like Warrior Battlemode 2 in Cabal And also necro/reaper are a very strong soloing class, highly suggest this but this just my personal opinion.

So i suggest you play either Guardian or Necro. But the choice is your.

Well, the thing is there’s actually two things to address based off of what you’ve given us: eye candy AND playability (fun factor). All classes can look pretty sick depending on your gender and race, however not all Professions are ‘fun’ as you would say.

For example: Revenant right now is the worst class in the entire game. It’s super buggy, supposedly it’s supposed to be a heavy armored class but lately it’s been turned into a strict support class. It’s unfinished, nerfed through the core of Tyria and flat out unplayable at the moment. Trash, open world mobs require you to actually strategize in the earlier levels rather than being easy fodder like they were made to be. You have to constantly upgrade your gear every 5-10 levels, something I’ve NEVER had to do on my Thief and Necro (dropped gear and gear from leveling up has been completely fine for me). Rev is supposed to be a ‘jack of all trades’ which makes it a ‘master of none’ in the process, meaning everything it does other Professions do better and much easier. It’s a shame, I was drawn to it as well at one point but the fact it’s so unfinished and completely pointless outside team scenarios (Group Events, World Bosses, etc) makes it unplayable in my book.

Necromancer is pretty cool if you like the dark, deathy side of gameplay. We’re also underpowered, but not nearly as bad as Rev. Thief is your typical Assassin, unlocking Daredevil gives you access to Staff which you can use as a melee weapon (pretty cool in my book).

Honestly, ‘eye candy’ can be defined as many things. Are you looking for skill effects, how the gear looks, or are you looking at it from a mechanics point of view (such as having a lot of leaps, evades, huge and heavy hits, etc)? Almost every class can be argued as great for eye candy purposes, but judging off of what you said about Ranger class I’m willing to bet you also want a class that’s interesting to play and won’t stagnate halfway in, am I right?

Don’t forget that some weapons leave a nice trail whenever you swing it. Some warhorns even make a fart sound when you use them… Bows unfortunately don’t really follow that. But swords, axes and greatswords all have amazing weapons and are all fun to use.

Also, in action camera you can see your own character. You can even go into first person view with action camera if you want to, but some skills that make you spin around will make you very, very dizzy.
