Guild Wars 2

Hey guys! I started playing a couple weeks ago and yet I haven’t made up my mind about which profession to make my main. I have played other MMOs so I can tell you:
. I love ranged professions, but will also hop into melee when necessary. I can play a melee profession too, though.
. I like scholar professions but they always feel like glass canons to me, I might be wrong.
. I need mobility, I don’t tend to run around casting/shooting but need a profession that has some escape moves.
. Don’t give me the newbie friendly class, I’m not a beginner and I’m looking for a challenge.
. I don’t like guns so if it’s gonna be a ranged profession, make it a magic or bow one.
. I don’t want something too complex, the reason I left my elementalist to play a ranger is because the need of changing attunements all the time made me freak out. I’ll play complex, just not too complex.
. I play both solo and group so I wanna feel useful to the group, while being useful to myself as solo.
. I’ll take a versatile profession.
. I like magic, bows and having fast moves, so I’d like the profession to have at least one of those.
. Every profession calls my attention except warrior and thief.
. I plan to do mostly WvW and sPvP

Please suggest me a profession, according to my play style, if you’re willing to help. By the way, I’d like it if you gave me the race that feels better with the profession you suggest

Ranger, but stay away from longbow

Sounds like you want a ranger.

I’d say ranger, unless you want a slightly more challenging role; then go necromancer. Or make one of each and see which you like better. After all, you can delete and recreate characters as much as you want, as long as you don’t mind starting over.

Engie but it is similar to ele in that switching kits around leads to better play, otherwise mesmer (because it is fun) or ranger are what you are asking for I think.
