I’ve been playing for a couple weeks now, I initially joined Kaineng because I had friends on that server. Well these friends mostly enjoy solo or small 3 man questing, so they didn’t consider the WvW situation. And knowing them they purposefully chose a low population server because they don’t like to compete against other people for quest kills/pickups. (which apparently is not even an issue in this game)

I’ve not noticed a whole lot of interest in the WvW scene on Kaineng, and I’d like to use the free transfers coming up to get onto a server with more action. I know I can get my friends to transfer with me as long as it is to a free server.

If no one has any suggestions I’ll probably go with crystal desert because it sounds cool.

No “free” server transfer is going to get you into much more action on the wvw scene. You’ll have to pay gems to get more of that action.

Crystal Desert appears to be on the upswing. They’re getting a lot of traction from the free transfers.

Wow, from all options, you chose Kaineng?

I just escape from there 2 days ago (so I know exactly what are you talking about).

I moved to Northern Shiverpeaks and it looks great. I’m a PvE players and there is a lot of people but not enough to scare your friends (but still way more than in Kaineng).

BUT, since I’m waiting for the upcoming patch to start a new character, I’m doing WvW and I have to say it’s great. You just have to log in, go to EB or NSB and just need to locate a commander tag and done. Non-stop WvW action.

So if you are a WvW player this server may be a great option for you.

I’d recommend blackgate we have loads of WvW and PvE events etc! Very friendly community, up to you. If not blackgate you could always try ehmry bay, smaller server, but still a lot of nice people. Try guesting to both before you decide!

CD is great. Lots if friendly people, good commanders, and a near permanent wirld boss train.

To OP, more than likely they will pay for your server transfer so it constitutes ‘free’.
