Charrs have a racial shout skill that is just like For Great Justice but with a slight longer cooldown, so its another source of fury that charr warriors can provide to the group.

Humans dont have any racial skill that adds to warrior, the racial healing skill Pray to Dwayna is worse than the warrior’s healing skills, humans have the hounds of balthazar elite skill but charrs have the warband elite skill (but i’ve never used those 2).

So go for charr if you want 2 For Great Justice shouts in your utility skills or go for human if you like the cultural armor.

If aesthetics matter to you, the charr have some pretty kitten T3 cultural armour. Weapons on them (and norn) look bigger than on humans, but some of the backpieces look ridiculous because of how they run.

Humans…are easier to do jumping puzzles with.

I started with a Charr Warrior and while I really enjoyed it in the beginning the appeal wears off fast. The larger size makes jumping puzzles a little harder, but its not a big deal once you get used to it. You will experience alot of tail/backpiece clipping unless you don’t use certain pieces. The four legged running animation is pretty cool, but not everyone likes it.

Humans are alright with nothing really special about them. The female models look the best besides Sylvari if customized correctly. The human Cultural armor imo looks the best of all the races.

If you are in it for the story I found the Charr storyline much more enjoyable. The quests you take with your warband are pretty cool though I wish they played a bigger part towards the end. The human storyline was kind of boring and felt more like it was just going through the motions.

Although there “should” be no differences between the races, I once created a Charr Guardian but I didn’t get along with him. I don’t know why, what it was that made me fail so many times with him until I deleted this toon. I also have a Charr Engineer and Mesmer and love to play both, but Guardian was a no go. A few weeks later I created another Guardian, but a Norn – and the feeling was very different. I’m still playing this Guard, but again I cannot tell the difference as there should be none.

I think all t3 cultural armor looks good, Charr cultural armor is no exception (Heavy set at least).

But you still might want to try other armor choices. For like the first month I think I had temple armor, then I had Citadel of flame armor for a few more months (and some other pieces), before I decided to spend my gold on t3 cultural which I always thought was pretty decent. Weapons of course are bigger on Charr (this can either be a good or bad thing) and some backpieces like the the shiny Fractal one don’t look so good on them, on the other hand I always found the Spinal Blades backpiece are perfect for them

I also like both the Sylvari and Human t3 cultural armor (light/medium sets I mean). have trouble deciding which I like better, but they are both very nice.
