Ive been looing around to see if theres any gear to pimp my character into a mean looking Gunslinger, but im having alot of trouble finding any gear to give him the right look… so i was hoping u all out there could post up some suggestions to help me

Ive got a Sylvari Male Thief and im running dual Pistols… and i think the ideal look would be some kind of cowboy, bandit, gunslinger look. Id like to find a wide brimmed hat, long duster coat (those long straight trenchcoats u sometimes see in authentic westerns), leather distressed trousers, maybe with the Chaps on them… and to top it off with some cowboy boot style footwear.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to armour items which look the part please

You might be able to find some pieces here that you can mix and match to make what you’re looking for

You want the hat with the feather. Don’t know what it’s called since I kept transmuting it, but it is a rather common one.

I always wanted the commando gear for that look, it’s the perfect one. Sadly it’s not available as far as I am aware for PVE.

Also the hat in the pic that I will show I believe is not the correct hat for this set but an error in the sPvP locker when I took these screenshots.

Commando coat and pants can be obtained through late personal story. No idea about other parts.

This it the look I’d go for. A guildie runs this look in black leather.

Pretty cool.

I got the hat with the feather as a reward for finishing Ascalon Catacombs story mode.

Thanks for all the replies guys

u have pointed me into the right direction and that certainly helps, although i dont think your suggestions quite give me the look im after.

Check out the medium temple armor.

I agree this set looks the most authentic, i particularly like the low slung belt which gives a real Gunslinger look

But the hats too floppy and doesnt look very cowboy, and i dont like the material which drapes around the rest of the head. I think that ill probably have to change the jacket slot to something more traditional too.

The look im using as a template is from one of my favourite bands…

I guess its more of a ‘Goth Cowboy’ lol

Any suggestions on a hat which is wide brimmed and rigid with a less rounded top would be great

The floppy hat is closer to an old style cowboy hat than the feathered one. Almost a sombrero. Feathered hat looks kinda dude-ish to me. I don’t think there is perfect hat for the look…so maybe the big mustache and long hair would suffice in lieu of a hat? But prob not on a sylvari (missed that).

Floppy round brims could be found back then…but, so could every other imaginable style also.

I was going to suggest the Rascal armour, which gave my female norn a cool cowboy-like look, but now that I look it’s a lot bulkier on a male and thus probably not so much what you’re after. You could look up a rascal coat on the trading post and try in on, though (to see it without the massive shoulder pieces).

Otherwise, I would also suggests some parts of this set (notably the pants), which is acquired through personal story. The best hats I can see are the temple armour one or the pirate hat.
