Guild Wars 2

So far I’ve got myself a Guardian, a Thief and a Ranger, but now Im looking for a light armor or ‘Scholar’ class. What do people suggest? The necro seems fun, with drains, I’ve heard building vitility and healing is a fun build for them. However, Mesmer seems fun too, I hear alot of people enjoying them lately. Elementalists around seem fun, however, I’ve been told and heard that they feel a tad weak compared to other classes. Anyone have any thoughts, advice or suggestions?

I think you’ll have more fun with the game if you just pick the class that you feel is most fun, rather than following someone else’s suggestions.

I haven’t played yet, as I have a macintosh, so i dunno if you want my advice, but i read alot about gw2 and im maining a Necromancer Asura. I am gonna blast a tonna conditions on my enemies and summon a ton of minions to destroy the survivors. Plus these guys can basically live forever with their drains, and minions taking all damage. Dont even get me started on Death Shroud! Seems amazing.

EpicFace, you should go to the necromancer section of these forums. When you say “seems amazing”, the key word is “seems”..

Just try them all out. It’s not like it costs extra. If I were to say one I guess it would be Mesmer as I’ve had most fun with it of the light armor profs.

Sorry to do this to you, honestly I am, but in-game it doesn’t even come close to working that way.

Necromancer:
It’s awesome. Conditionmaster is fun. It’s true that our DPS is not the best right now. Buy we have a lot of survivalism. In PvP, i rule. I win every single 1vs1 fight, and some 2vs1(me against two). I know that there is a lot of treats broken but in fact i feel overpowered in PvP.

Mesmer: It’s interesting, and you will play one of the most unique profession in almost every MMO out there. You can do Meel like a rogue or ranged like a mage.

I always try to avoid the “common classes” like warrior, ranger and elementalist.
