Help me to choose Human or Sylvari (look)
Pick either and save the other for your Engineer or Thief. That way you’ll not lose anything.
I’d make the choice based on whose story I want to see more, personally.
What character is prettier?
By human standards, or by Sylvari standards? I’m sure they’re both pretty as far as their respective races are concerned, but in terms of what I would call pretty, I’d say keep the human. That’s what we relate to
Is your human’s body one of the selectable body types on the character creation screen, or is that a gemstore exclusive makeover?
Personally I’d keep the sylvari, just because they’re less common and so (IMO) more interesting.
I have a human ranger, but only because I wanted her to be descended from my GW1 characters. Otherwise she would have been a sylvari.

I’m pretty sure there are no gem store exclusive body types, only hair and eye colours.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
They’re both pretty, but I prefer the human. The “Perfect” Rangers to me are Sylvari, it’s just more believable to me that Sylvari will have a deeper relations and understanding with animals than humans. But that’s just me.
If you’re torn, I’d go sylvari. That human look is really overused now, and will only get more popular as people get more money (as T3 prices are fixed). It’s a shame because it is a very cool set.
I’m curious though, as this is the title screen, you presumably own these outfits, which means you bought a T3 top for a character you might not keep???
To me the ‘perfect’ ranger is a norn …
You cannot get much closer to animals than having an animal spirit guide …
If I had to it again, my ranger would be norn, and my guardian human.
As for sylvari, to me they are the light armour types …

Except for a charr which is after all a walking, talking animal….
though yes Norns seem to be the hunter type though to be honest i find there builds too muscular to really portray a ranger but each to there own.

If you set all the body sliders to minimum settings when creating a norn, the result is not so over-the-top muscular looking. At least this is the case for female norns, and in keeping with a ‘huntress’ look. Not sure if this is the same for a male norn …
Human. Va va voom.
