So, let me start off by saying this:
Mystic Toilet is too op.

So today, I looked around on the TP for items to flip, but there didn’t seem to have any flip-able items, or atleast ones that wouldn’t take years to buy and years to sell to make profit. (Note: I am only working with 10gold, so anything to flip over 2gold is out of the question, etc)

So a brilliant idea was mentioned by someone. To forge 4 rare minis into an exotic mini to make profit.
Now of course, there is a gamble to it. But with only 10 gold, I did it, considering I had nothing else to do.

After a flush, I got a mini worth 40 gold. Using that, I got a Jack-a-lop, which is worth 60 gold. I sold it. Now here is my mistake. I kept on trying for more. I should have known. RNG gods dont like me.

I flushed +50 gold on miniatures with no profit.
I should have known that stretching my abundance would kick me in the kitten.

So now I ended up with less than 5 gold. I currently have 6 gold in my account, which means I can’t even flip anything fast. I got a few tips from a very nice bunch of people. One of them told me to craft Damask bolts, but in order to get to 450 tailoring, I would need a ton of gold.. I also got tips for dungeoning, but dungeons only seem to give 3 gold per day.

Maybe I’m overwhelmed on negativity, but I cant seem to find any way of making gold. I’m not usually so gold-thirsty, but after that 50gold loss, I feel quite hit. I even spent 800 gems trying to get it back. Mystic Toilet just ripped through it. I don’t even feel like playing anymore.

And yes, before someone with like 3k gold comes here and laughs at how I’m kittened off at losing about 100 gold in total to the point where I dont even feel like playing anymore, let me tell you that I felt like an absolute god with 100g, and without it, I feel stripped of power.

So I ask of you, how do you make money, and how much of it? I desperately need to make my money back to trade it for my sanity. I feel dirty loaning 10$ from my brother to have it thrown away in a toilet and flushed and to have such great luck thrown away.

And yes, I do know that playing the TP is possible. I just don’t seem to get anyone to buy my listed stuff, or sell me what I want to flip. I haven’t gotten any success. How do you do it?

Thank you for your reply. But does that include Arah, and things like fractals? From what I’ve heard, those aren’t worth the effort. Also, does that include repeating things like CoF?
I don’t seem to get much out of dungeons, but I might be doing something wrong. If you could do you do a specific dungeon path? If you could elaborate, that would be great, thanks.

What people mean by 40~50g per day by dungeon is doing almost every dungeon path in the game, it takes a bout 4 hours a day to do that with good PUGs.
You just skip things like Arah P4, TA aether and things like that.

EDIT: Also you need to salvage the gear you can buy with the tokens, like the soldier insigneas from the AC gear, and ectos from the lvl 70+ rare gear.

I’m pretty sure that includes Arah. However I don’t know where you got 3g a day from dungeons. AC P1/2/3 each give 1g55s per day, so just those is 4g 65s. Add in HotW p1, 1g 5s, Cof P1/3 2g 10s, CoE P3? 1g 5s, TA Up and Forward, 2g 10s. Fractals, 1g+ per level. I don’t really do Arah, but from what I understand it’s at least 3g per path.

So without Arah, we are looking at LEAST 11g 95s per day, just doing the easy dungeons. Thats NOT including the extra silver from completing the dungeon, nor selling the items gained in the dungeon. Also that is not a full tour, as it leaves out CM and Arah. If you were to do a FULL tour. Each path, each dungeon, you can easily get 40-50g a day.

AC 1/3, CM 1/3, TA Up/FF, SE 1/3, CoF 1/2, CoE 3 (and sometimes 2), and HotW 1 are all pretty easy and fast. That’s a lot of gold per day, just on the base gold reward per path alone.

Are there certain ones that give a lot of in-dungeon loot that I can repeat? Or are there other ways to make money? I’ll get to dungeoning straight away.

Unfortunately, all the loot chests are now once per day per account. You could try running CM for cotton (or light armor to salvage for the cotton) and TA for linen, I suppose.

Orr is great for lots of bag drops and mats.

If you want loot, the name of the game is “Kills Per Hour”.

Dungeons offer quite possibly the WORST kills per hour of any content because most groups skip everything that is not a boss.

Head over to Orr and hop on the event trains (NOT the champ train). Buff your Magic Find and you’ll be rolling in loot drops as you tag hordes of undead.

Getting loot is like playing the lottery. Would you rather have 1 ticket every day or 1,000 tickets every day?

I heard that frostgorge is pretty good, but is Orr better? Also, I heard about farming black lion keys, but is it really worth my time? What can I convert into gold out of those?

Black lion keys > black lion tickets/ticket scraps > special weapon skins that you can sell on the TP

You also have a rare chance to get unlimited tonics which sell for a good bit, as well. There are also some minis that sell for a few gold a piece, as well as mini set packs and dye packs.

step 1 : open tradepost
step 2 : enter paypal info to buy gems
step 3 : convert gems into gold

this method will be exponentially more time efficient than anything that is possible, was possibly, and it seems will ever be possible by actually playing the game… unless you either work in a sweatshop, or don’t have a job.

no seriously. you can take surveys online for fractions of a dollar and have a higher time/gold ratio than actually playing ingame content. i know from experience.

Frostgorge is for champ trains, and those are terrible ways to make gold.
Orr is where the events are that spawn TONS of enemies to kill which maximizes your kills per hour.

Keyfarming was no where near profitable last time I checked. Granted, that was a while ago, but the sheer monotony of it combined with the excessive gambling aspect (and the fact that only a tiny number of ultra rare things that come from the chests have any value) would keep me from doing it even if it has shifted into net profit range.

I’d rather get a part time job and use that cash to buy keys directly since it would be about as much fun lol.

How much gph would I be getting at Orr? Is it worth spending MF Boosters for? Also, should I aim for max MF?

The GPH will depend on the loot you get. As you improve your Magic Find, your GPH will rise.

Definitely use your MF Boosters, and use a class that can tag a lot of mobs quickly.

Maxing MF is expensive. Get it to about 100%, then let it grow naturally via salvaging.
