Hello everybody.. First pls excuse my english, (not my strong point). First time i play a mmorpg (at least a serious one) and i have some questions. Is there any case smbd can ruin his player by taking wrong desicions during the game? Now for example i have some points to spent on utility slot skills.. is there any case my desicion will be wrong..? Or lets say more general is this a ‘if choose wrong you are doomed’ game..?

No. you are never doomed as far as skills and traits goes. You can respec later.

you get enough skill points to unlock every single utility skills.

besides, you can jump into heart of the mist and test out all utility skills there.

as for your trait points, you get a reset option should you feel like changing your build.

so don’t worry.

Unlike other mmo’s that forces you to choose between being a “Tank”, “Healer”, or “DPSer”. GW2 is more of, choose what you enjoy and just go for it. Explore the various options and see where it takes you, so no, you cannot totally mess up you character and there are no right or wrong choices.

Here is the thing you might be new to mmo’s and possibly more video gaming in general i am not sure since it was not specified, There are jobs that many players do in any mmo. What class you decide on should be a personal choice because any class can do any job, some are simply better traited to serve a particular purpose is all. Try them all and do what you enjoy. Also the more you learn about your character and what they can do , the more fun it will be.

Also never be afraid to spend your skill points. Once you get to level 80, you continue leveling, but do not gain an increase in power – you gain a Skill Point every time you level, so you have an unending supply of Skill Points.
