I have been trying to help a friend figure out how to change their weapon skills order in the games bar and have not had any luck.

Asking about the weapon skills that are unlocked as you learn them by using a staff or dagger etc.

You cannot change the order of the skills as they appear on your bar. The best you can do is change the key bindings for them.

Thank you, I appreciate the reply. It is unfortunate that the game is not handicap friendly. Changing the key bindings would work for one weapon/character type although would throw everything else off.

This is one of the things that really bothers me about this game.

I keep hoping they’ll change it, but I suspect that might be easier said than done, depending on how things like weapon swapping, ele attunement and engineer kits are designed.

I know in GW1 if you changed the order of your skills in something like costume brawl or when riding a Junundu then when you got back to using your normal skills they’d all be mixed around too, and that game allowed you to put any skill into any slot. I imagine it’d be much the same here; if you swapped weapon skills 1 and 5 on your 1st weapon set they’d be swapped on the second set as well.

Even so I think a lot of people would appreciate the effort if they could change it.

I wonder if their are any 3rd party apps out their that would make this possible. The game does suck with this limitation if you are not able bodied.

Any one know of any 3rd party apps or UI’s that would make this possible since the company does not appear to be on top of it?

Any dev with coding experience reading the forums?

3rd party apps are not allowed and will get you banned. You are allowed to use multibutton mice though and you can map keyboard keys to the mouse buttons, so if your handicap doesn’t stop you from using that sort of support device it might be the answer for you.

Hmm. I got a Peregrine glove to try to be more effective in WoW. It was too much of a learning curve for me since it needed left handed nimbleness and I’m very right handed, but I wonder if it might help with the simpler set of GW2 commands?
