Q:
Help with deciding class
I don’t do PvP, so can only direct you to browse the sub-forums for each profession.
I haven’t played for over 2 years and recently came back, leveled my engineer to 80 and done various stuff but now I would like to level another class, it’s between guardian and warrior for me. I mostly do spvp but I dabble in wvw and pve as well.
If any experienced, mostly spvp, player would be so kind to tell me how the meta has changed during the months/years it would be appreciated. I’ve tried most builds from metabattle.com and I dislike shoutbow, the whole cele / bunker thing isn’t my play style per se but I did like hambow and I do like medi guardian. I don’t have a team or anything serious but I play with my friends and I would like to stay updated with whats good or not so my question is again.
How has the meta changed for warrior and guardian over time and any idea where it will go?
You don’t actually have to play meta builds to have fun, you know! I have lots of fun, and good success with a trapper ranger build I made. It excels in situations where the enemy has to come to me (treb duty/skyhammer, etc.).
The point is, try them both out. If you don’t enjoy warrior meta builds, and can’t find any builds that work and that you enjoy, it sounds like guardian is the way to go.
