Guild Wars 2

I am looking to add a new character to play I use Ele as my main and play it as a D/D build but swap between scepter and staff as well. As I play more and more I run into times where I need a heavy class so I am torn between making a warrior or guardian. I will use this new character mostly for Dungeons and Fractals once I get it going. I haven’t tried either yet so I have no idea of strengths or weakness of the classes and trying them in pvp doesn’t give me a true gauge.

Well both warriors and guardians are very good classes, though you can spec most classes to be heavy defence, my ele tanks dungeons just fine, same with my engi – and they aren’t even full tank spec.

The heavy armour classes are very forgiving if you mess up though.

What kind of playstyle would you prefer anyway ?

The simplistic way that warriors and guardians are often distinguished from one another is that warriors are about raw damage whilst guardians are about survivability and support. Guardians are not purely defensive, nor are warriors purely offensive, but it’s a reasonably straightforward way to differentiate the two.
