Q:
Hey guys, have a levelling question~~~
Crafting is a quick way to level but expensive. Right now the quick and cheap way to level a character is doing the BB. If you’re good and lucky to be on a good map, you can gain one level every round (about 6-10 mins). Every four round you get enough token in exchange for a tome of knowledge. So you gain about 6-7 levels an hour if you’re lucky.
What and where is the BB?
BB = Boss Blitz, in the Crown Pavilion (CP) in Divinity Reach
You get 7 levels for 1-400 which is reasonable affordably (imo) For prices check out: http://www.gw2crafts.net/total.html
The last 3 levels per craft (except for cooking and jewelry) are in the 400-500 area, which either costs you a lot of gold, or quite some research or patience. Even then you’d only get to 74.
Alternatives are:
Boss Blitz seems to give a lot of experience, I’ve yet to take a lower level, but Stars information seems accurate. So I’d recommend looking at that, the rewards are pretty good aswell gold-wise. You do have to get into a Gold Pavillion.
Another well-beloved option is the WvW-map EotM, which is (especially for Green servers) a Champ/Karma/Experience train. Usually ~4 levels per hour, depending on whether the keeps are defended (usually not.) I usually recommend this to friends (Boss Blitz is a living story so won’t be around forever) since you get a decent amount of Karma, Champbags (and other loot) Experience and Badges which can trade for an Exotic set of Armor, always helpful for a fresh 80.
For clarity, Esmee’s use of the term “Gold Pavillion” refers to the Crown Pavillion where the Boss Blitz is organized, and the Gold Reward can be attained.
(Unorganized Boss Blitz attempts will probably succeed at Bronze Reward level, but take a lot more time and offer smaller rewards.)
You can also do the EotM train.
If you want to level via crafting here is the skinny:
- Use a Birthday scroll (instant LVL 20 and you should have some if you played early on and still have characters from then).
- You can gain 7 LVLS for a reasonable amount of gold for each craft. 8 crafts = 56 total levels.
- 20 + 56 = 76
- Do Boss Blitz in Queens Pavilion (Divinitys Reach) or go to Edge of the Mist and follow the Train for a few hours and you will be 80. (EotM will also gain you some Ascended materials, Karma and Badges).
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
