i got xp boosts and those things now and woundred what character i level next i got two option in my head right now.
Mesmer:
Necromancer:

I love both classes, both can be class cannon and some tanky but i would love to hear ur opinions. i mained thief once if thats interesting.
Which class got most different playstyle, not getting bored too easy either. Also i could think of lvling a ranger but come with ur opinions, thanks! Please tell why and such information too!

Having leveled 2 necros and currently leveling a Mesmer, the necro will be more capable early on. My Mesmer is currently level 68 with the aim being a condi-clone build but it took until level 60 before he could hold his own against more than 2 NPCs.

I feel confident that the Mesmer will level into a fantastic toon but for gratification I had a LOT more fun with my necros….

What do play more? PvE, WvW, PvP?

Wvw mesmer is one of the top dogs for roaming or solo, Necro not bad but not best roamer, zerging power necro is beast, mesmer better for veils, time warp, null field and portal or pulls off walls and cliffs.

Can’t comment on PvE but more than one condition user is generally not done and both classes lack sustainable aoe damage.

I Haven’t made a necro (yet), but I do have a level 80 mesmer and they do bring a lot to the table. They have a good power build (great if you focus on illusion damage), a great condition clone build for WvW (I don’t sPvP) and their portal makes everything much easier. Leveling can be a pain though.

I focusing most on roaming WvW or Spvp, full pvp. I like to be outnumbered for some reason
i like mostly 1v2 1v1 situations and i like when they got a bit survive ability and got a kind of escape. only thing i see at necro is that they only be condi? ive tried power but its not the same feeling on dmg for me. Why is it gonna be so hard to pick one. Ive levled a engi but totally worthless use of time as i dont enjoy it and dont want this to happens the same.

Mesmer isnt bad either they burst is one of the best ive seen but can mesmer be good in condi builded? like staff. And they dont get boring after a while becouse its just clones clones and clones?

You learn to appreciate the clones…trust me, they will save your can while leveling, at least they saved mine several times so far, I run a scepter/pistol combo with a staff alt.

As far as power with your necro, try dagger/dagger and staff alt. You’ll throw bleeds on very quickly and the AoE from the staff can handle distance, destroys walls and gates in WvW and has great range.

My current necro (I deleted my first because I chose the race poorly) is a power house, ’zerker traited with Valkyrie armor. She has an exceptionally high crit chance and damage. I threw a superior sigil of torment on the staff and superior sigil of perception on one of my daggers and the top end of my crit, buffed, is 79% while crit damage maxes out at 68%. Add to that torment (AoE) on the staff and the amount of damage my little Asura can do is ridiculous. A mob will crush me since a necro has no true means of quick escape though going into death shroud surely buys time.

Go with a mesmer if you prefer 1v1 or 1vX – you’ll see videos of necros condi-bombing bads outnumbered, you’ll see a few videos of power zerker necros being good at 1v1 or 1v2 – you’ll see hours of mesmers trolling 1vx all the time.

You can build for power or condi on both classes but having played thief I think you’ll find the mesmer easier to roll with, especially if you go for the popular PU (blackwater) build.

All depends on how you want to play the game.
I suggest watching youtube vids, checking out different playstyles in pvp, or if you are more into pve then check out what is viable for that.
In general mesmer is more desirable for elite pve.

you my friend are in luck 1200 hours on my mesmer now and im still not bored, i WvW a lot and perform several different roles, my favourite being zerg surfing :P its easy to harass large groups of enemies and down them, not only that i main a GS with the mesmer, always have always will, i have 20 different builds with the GS alone, the mesmer is the most versatile class there is and has the most builds
