Guild Wars 2

From time to time i see waypoints/events being highlighted in yellow in the map chat so that when you click on it you will be moved to that event or waypoint. Now my question is how does one do that? quite embarrassed to ask it since iam almost done with my character and never figured it out.

Open the map and shift+click what you want to link in chat.

Ah yeah thanks. Makes it alot easier when i need help with certain events.

Shift-click if you want to add text to the message, or Ctrl-click if you just want to link the poi/waypoint.

I wish we could link hearts too, get requests all the time for missing hearts and have to find a poi or waypoint near there and give directions to it – especially if the heart NPC is dead it doesn’t show up on the map…

Would love to ping events too.

you can shift click as well on the map to ping areas, but i dont think anyone pays attention to it

if i am correct, i believe shift + clicking on the map as pings only works in a party.
as in, if i ping, people around me or on the map in general wouldn’t be able to see it.
