Guild Wars 2

There seems to be some bugginess with this hint. Mailbox doesn’t seem to always count the mail messages you have quite right. I finally resorted to:

1. Deleted ALL my mail messages, both NPC (green starred) and reg mail messages (envelope symbol ones)
2. Had guildies send me 11 mail messages (all with attachments, not sure if this helped)
3. When I logged back in my mail icon was red, indicating a full mailbox. Opened and deleted one mail message …and once the 11th backlogged mail message arrived, the hint completed.

I can’t seem to complete it either, and although I’m not a completionist; it’s driving me nuts. It keeps glaring at me at the achievement panel “you have almost completed this. But you can’t.”

I had about 6 mails, asked a friend to send me 4 mails, it got stuck at 9 mails and I never got nr 10. This isn’t the first time either, plenty of times I decided to just clean up my mailbox when it was almost full to to suddenly receive 3 more mails :|

I send a bug report about it ingame already, but nothing has happened yet…

I suspect the hint needs unread/unopened mails to complete. Try deleting everything from your mailbox. Wait a minute to make sure any immediate backlog pops up…if any do, get rid of those too. Close your mailbox, then have friends/guildies send you at least 11 mail messages. Don’t reopen you mailbox until it goes red, indicating a full box. It could be that there not only needs to be 10 unread mails, but also at least one backlogged.
