Guild Wars 2

i’ve only ever played gw2 and i know hall of monuments is in the last gw1 campaign..
i’m wondering, if i play the gw1 games in order, will that contribute to my gw2 Hall of Monuments.. or do i need to start with Eye of the North, unlock the hall of monuments and then start from there..

nvm i think i found it.. having a level 10 character from any campaign can get you to the eye of the north.. and there is a certain type of achievement category to work on from there.. but you have to do eye of the north missions to make/unlock other categories..

You have to have any one of the three campaigns (Prophecies, Nightfall, Factions) and Eye of the North.

You don’t have to do any of the GW1 campaigns or achievements in order. Just play GW1 and don’t care too much about achievements. In the Hall of Monuments, you only register them. Just do them in any order. Then, after some time, unlock the tapestries and register your achievements in the HoM.

If you start out in GW1, I recommend you start a character in the Nightfall campaign. It’s the best balanced starting tutorial and the only campaign that provides you with the customizable heroes right from the start, which tremendously help if you play the GW1 campaigns alone.

Eye of the North is not a campaign, its an expansion to any of the 3 campaigns (Prophecies, Faction or Nightfall).
Therefore u cannot create a character in/for Eye of the North.

Technically you can create a character for EotN.

thnx for the info, i got my character working and i’m an elem/monk on level 2! \ >_< /
i’m so lost, but had fun with the first few missions.. will worry about achievements later, gw1 to me is kind of like a missions pack for gw2  lol
