Hello everybody
I was wondering me if I can get the HoM awards if I start playing gw1 right now. I never played it but the rewards are nice from the HoM
Is it possible to get the rewards when you already play GW2 without playing GW1 before release but would start now?
Is it still possible to link your gw1 and gw2 character?
would be nice to know
regards Troopa
Yes you can, just make sure to use the same account/email address in GW1
Afaik nothing has changed. It maybe harder now that the population is decreased but the times I’ve logged in I’ve seen people playing, even in Presearing Prophesies, which is a zone you can quickly level out of.
is the stuff to get the awards difficult to do? in a scale of 10 where tequatl is 9 where are they?
There are things which are both easy and difficult. Well several are obtainable by having gold. In that regard it is easy, you just farm gold. You can check http://gwpvx.gamepedia.com/PvX_wiki for various farming builds.
Having all 3 campaigns also makes things easier since you have more things to choose from. You only need to get the platinum edition if you are after the item rewards but if you want all the titles as well it will require getting all the campaigns.

They’re not particularly difficult to get… but they will be time consuming. Getting the first few points is easy (you get 3 points just for linking accounts), but if you plan on getting all the rewards (30 points) expect several months of solid GW1 gameplay.
Time consuming. Very. You can use heroes or even mercenaries you get from the Guild Wars 1 shop to do content if there aren’t enough people to group with. To just get 30 points can take several months of extensive playing. Fortunately you can pick it up and put it down. You don’t need to do it at one go.
Yes it is perfectly possible to still get the rewards.
The rewards have an increasing difficulty. The first 10 points are very easily obtained and dont require a lot of game play. After that it increases in difficulty.
0-10 points: 28 hours (2 weeks if playing for 2 hours per day)
10-20 points: 56 hours (4 weeks if playing for 2 hours per day)
20-30 points: 112 hours (8 weeks if playing for 2 hours per day)
Also it is advised to look online for guides to help you.
There are several tricks you can use to speed things up.
a: know bout the free gold all account get by talking to tolkano to recieve free tournament points for PvP and how to change those points to cash (was 60 platinum bout a year ago).
b: you can get a animal companion statue right away by making a pvp only ranger and a pve ranger.
c: Tapestry’s wich you need to add certain points are account bound. so if you want to be bale to add miniatures and heroes/animalcompanions, you can quickly level 2 characters up to level ten, run them to eotn and use the tapestry’s on different monuments.
Guildwarsguru.com has some very good guides as well as a nice bunch of helpfull people.
thx all for the help.
When it’s very time consuming I will think twice about it then.
