I somehow locked myself out of being able to choose a new home World for a week while browsing the list and it happened to be Tarnished Coast that I chose. I was just about to get on the forums and ask which home World would be suitable for social and PvX needs. Any reason why I shouldn’t buckle down and just get started playing right now with this home World?

Tarnished Coast is an excellent server in my experience. It’s the unofficial home to the roleplayers and thus it has a pretty tight knit community of players. I’ve come across very few buttheads in my time since launch.

I can’t, however, answer anything regarding the PvX in the game personally, as I have yet to play any of it. But as far as reasons you shouldn’t buckle down, I can’t think of any! Hang out, check it out. I think you’ll like it here.

I’m on TC myself, and I heartily recommend it. We’re one of the most populated servers, so you will almost certainly find people in every map at any time of the day. We’re also pretty good in WvW, hovering around the Tier 2 range, I believe. As Alice mentions, we’re also the unofficial NA roleplay server, so you’ll see some people engaging in roleplay from time to time. It really does help fill the world and bring it to life.

Started on T’oast at beta and never bothered going anywhere else. It’s definitely one of the best communities. Plenty of helpful people all over the place to aid in whatever you want to do. If you need help with anything, give me a shout. I’ll be happy to tag along if I’m not busy.

Quirky, creative, fun, like most RP servers are. Large population, strong WvW, decent representation in sPvP, 24/7 player base (decent SEA/Oceanic/EU player base).

Not many better choices, if you landed here purely randomly, you lucked out. Come say hi at the server forums.
