As the title says, how and when is the best time to start pvp? I’m very new to GW2 and also I’m dedicated pvper.
Do I need to get any gear first, like basic gear for pvp or just que and thats it, ready to play?
For now I only entered pvp once and I’ve noticed that I was boosted to lvl 80 immediately so I thought “well that’s it, I’m ready to land a kill” as my Necro. Apparently first player I approached finished me quicker than blink of the eye…
So now I just wonder, where and how to start, and maybe when is the question either?

while ingame type this into your chat:
/wiki pvp build
or google gw2 wiki
there is a button at the top middle of your screen that should give you access to your pvp build. you are given generic pvp build automatically but you can modify it
Everyone uses standarized gear and is set to level 80 in pvp. Yoi can customize stats by changing the amulet, runes, traits, and sigils of your build while in the heart of the mists, under the pvp build heading.
And yeah pvp can be difficult, especially for necro, so I’d go to the necro forums and try to do some research there about what is and isn’t effective and how to play well in general, which does take some time to get god at.

The best time to start PvP is right now when you’re new to the game.
The reason I say this is because you need to take advantage of all skills/traits and stat combination it gives you so you can experiment and practice your skills and strategy against other players.
