Im new to guildwars and havent played for a few weeks, just turned it on and seems like its downloading entire game again, im upto 500mb!!!!!!

There was a MAJOR update at the start of the month.
Nice one bud, thought I’d messed something up. its taking forever!!!
the percentage is actually calculated based on the no of files.It usually get faster and faster.I guess that it generally downloads the biggest files first.
And yes could anyone give us the patch notes?

I think it’s just a maintenance update. This requires a re-downloading of various executable files.
So if there are no patch notes, just assume that there is no new content.

You do realize that 1) not everyone is on Facebook/Twitter/Whatever and 2) it makes more sense to look for information about Guild Wars 2 on guildwars2.com, right?

or even just put the links on the luncher… it’s not that hard..
