What the title said, I am going to have a clean install on my PC and would prefer to avoid downloading 20gb+ of files again, especially with my Australian internet. Thanks in advance

You can just copy the GW2.dat to the external drive.

You can copy the whole GW2 folder, not only the .dat. Then you won’t need to re-download the client .exe.

Since the dat is 99.99% of the folder size you aren’t saving a lot of space by not copying the whole folder.

Note that your screenshots are saved in you Documents folder.

Yeah, just copy the whole folder over. Bonus! you can also run gw2 from the external drive. Loading times will vary based on connection type, drive type, etc.

\Users\username\Documents\Guild Wars 2\Screens

I keep GW on my HDD and let it write the cache to the normal place on my SDD. Except for what is in visual range the rest is just static files sitting on your drive anyway.
