Guild Wars 2

I just got this game recently and managed to get my warrior to level 51.

I have a question about getting ectos:
1. What level do I need to be before I can salvage rares with my Mystic salvage kit to get them?
2. What min level do the rares have to be in order to have a chance to get the?

Answer 2: 68 (It is ostensibly possible to get ectos from salvaging lower level rare gear, but if so, it’s a very low probability.)
