As you can see, I haven’t even got it equipped; I wouldn’t mind so much, but the gem doesn’t even stay on the head, instead it floats just in front of it..

That seems to be a bug. Have you tried equipping a different head piece? Or just relogging to see if that cures it?

Other head pieces won’t appear, even when equipped, and yeah, relogging didn’t help.
I’ll just see if it goes away eventually; Only level 12 right now, so I’m not missing out on looking too awesome yet, lel

I suggest you post this in the bugs forum in that case, and possibly file a ticket with support.

At least it’s just a small pebble, not a face-hiding mask.

They now sell acne cures in the Gem Shop. Just sayin’.

Maybe you’re one of the first Human-Unicorn hybrids in the game and your horn is starting to grow out. Was your mom a ranger and did she seem excessively fond of her Legendary shortbow?

I guess this means you are still a virgin. There is something you can do that will make the horn fall off. We will discuss it when you are a bit older.

I’m laughing too much at the above comments but on a more serious note:

This looks like a bug. Maybe like the one I had and I like to call it a temporary bug as I somehow managed to get rid of it via WvW.

Long story short: I was using a Box O’ Fun and it landed on the colors option. I spam clicked it for the lolz and it was in the process of changing to petrify mode.
I got turned to stone with the invisible color on me. When I exited the petrify thing I was still invisible whenever I unsheathed any weapons. Not ‘stealth’ but the invisible look. Logging out did not fix this. Dying normally did not fix this. Logging into a diff toon and back didn’t work either. I jumped into WvW and was still bugged and people steamrolled me a few times.. After about the 6th death it suddenly was gone after I WP’d.

I actually managed to replicate the glitch a second time and I didn’t hop into WvW with it for 2 days. 2 days of just stupid invisible-ness. I did the same thing to get rid of it; hopped into WvW and got myself CC-spammed and killed by others until it went away.

TLDR – hop into WvW and get yourself killed by a group/Zerg of enemy players. It may ‘reset’ something and change it back to default (like bloodlust stacks for example gone on death).
