I stopped playing late November last year, just before the release of Winter’s Day (the name eludes me).

My only character (despite a lvl 1 name holder) is a level 80 D/D backstab burst build Thief. I used to just run dailies of CoF and CoE, and only progressed to Level 2 of Fractals (I think). I am lucky enough to have kept my thief in full exotics, everything Berserker-focused.

I also gifted all my gold away upon ‘quitting’ in November. So, for a broke Level 80 thief, what can I do to catch up to the “new” content?

The only new ‘playable’ content added after fractals was the living story, which most people completed in an hour or two.

Since the end of Wintersday there’s been a few new content updates – Flame and Frost is the big one (see the wiki or official site for details) but also dailies work differently now and give better rewards, there’s guild missions, a special instanced dungeon/jump puzzle calls Super Adventure Box which is 8-bit themed and only here for April, and maybe some other stuff.

But it’s all open to players of pretty much all levels. There haven’t been any new item tiers either so there’s not really anything to ‘catch up’ with, just stuff you haven’t played yet.

Oh, there are more Ascended items now, but unless you’re doing high level Fractals you don’t need them so you can get them later if you want.

If you have full exotics there’s no need for money right away except for waypointing. Continue playing as you would if you still had money. You’re not ‘behind’.
