How do I make my game run at max more smoothly (Even possible)
560ti probably wouldn’t run this game at max everything even if it was a single player game
add in all the other people and the extra GPU/CPU stress and 40fps average is great
you can’t go by what people claim their card does, sometimes they just straight up lie to you. if ANYONE is claiming 60fps average, they’re lying or they’re somewhere that has no events going on, no players around, nothing really going on
the reason MMOs don’t look like crysis is because there may be 50-100 people on your screen at any given time. even 50-100 NPC actors will throttle a computer, but 50-100 actual players does it even worse than that
30+ FPS is all you can hope for on average. 30 in a congested area is great
You’re not really going to be a able to use supersampling at that res with that card without really cranking back some other options.
I’m running a very similar system you yours, factory overclocked (and some more) 560Ti, i7 930 @ 4.2GHz, 1920×1200 display. I get pretty much 50-60 FPS (except in heavy WvWvW/busy cities) using FXAA, native sampling, high shadows and reflections at the mid-setting. All other settings at max.
The moment I tried supersampling I would start being GPU bottlenecked (checking with realtime GPU graphing). I would suggest trying settings as I have them, not sure how clocked your EVGA card is but you shouldn’t be too far off my own performance since you’re playing a a slightly lower res.
I have to have AA (even if it is FXAA) as jaggies drive me crazy, kill immersion.
Supersampling is a pipe-dream.
I had to drop shadows to low, shader to medium, reflections to none to get 60 FPS most of the time; big fog effects and fights with several effects going off drop it. Low shader setting seems to keep 60 FPS all the time but I’m not sure I like the drop in visual quality.
I wish these games were more dynamic with visual quality rather than having to choose between sub-par visuals all the time or low FPS when it matters most.
