I have 2 things

1. I put a skin on my ascended armor and I don’t like it anymore how do I remove it?

2. I put a skin on my helmet and I put a skin over that skin so if I use a transmutation stone do I get the first skin?

Transmutation Splitters will work for what you are looking for. Downside is that it is 300 gems each.

Edit: Misread your #2 I’m not sure how it would split it for you. For sure you will get the second skin the other item however I’m not sure. I’ve heard people say it both ways and I never tested it to know which is right, but you will either get the original helm before transmute stuff or the last helm before you did the last skin.
