How do i command a dry top event farm
You can do it without leading the map. I can get 100+ during a sandstorm when there’s a T4 map. Just squeeze in as many events as you can.
You get <tier>+1 geodes outside of a sandstorm and twice that during a sandstorm. From which it follows that the best way to farm geodes is for the whole map to do as many events as possible before the storm in order to get the tier up and then for you personally to do as many events as possible during the sandstorm to rake in the geodes.
Now, tier 4 is achievable in an active map just by calling out the upcoming events in map chat and pointing out events that give bonus favour (marked by an * in the link below). See https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Favor_of_the_Zephyrites for the messages to post and general ideas about how to do Dry Top.
Tier 5 needs at a small group or two who know what they’re doing and can do events that don’t normally get done. For tier 6, see the link above – it requires a really well organized team effort.
To maximize the number of events during a sandstorm, start at x:40 with Cull Dust Mites→Haze→ Devourer Queen and continue at x:50 with Cull Dust Mites→Haze→ Dust Mite Twister → Skritt Queen. I’ve seen recommendations to do the Clear the Cave-In event before Haze, but I’ve never gotten that to work reliably.
You tag the mite event and then run over to do the mine event. I just laycdiwn a single mine then port NW to the next area to do the skritt event. Sometimes it’s there by the WP and other times it’s north then east.
For round two, I include chickenado in the rotation.
Kurujin can you tell why that site’s timer is confusing? I’m its creator and I made it to help people do Dry Top, not confuse them, so if you could tell me its problems or what you don’t understand, I can improve it.
The ingame Dry Top events are chunked together in 5-minute segments. Every 5 minutes of the hour, a new set of events pop up. So the site highlights the current set of events, that may or may not have been completed already by players during the 5 minute period that they’re highlighted. If you’re confused about the timer on the map, the event nicknames are colored to match the 5 minute timer overlaid. The left side of the map timer is the current 5-minute color code, the right side is the next.
