I have the mats for explorer gear, 5 ectos, 10 gossamer scrap, 20 gossamer thread, and vicious claw. Do i need to ask someone in guild if they have 400 leather making?

First you have to buy the recipe for the item you’ll need.

I haven’t done leatherworking, but it probably uses insignias like tailoring.

Go to your leatherworking trainer and buy from him. There should be a tab for recipes. Scroll to the bottom to find the 400 ones.

From there, you need to craft the item. In this case, Explorers Insignia or whatever it may be called. When you have that, put the 3 pieces into the discovery tab and viola! you should have an exotic piece of gear, and the recipe to make more.
