I leveled up to 40 how do i make more gold?

Paths in dungeons give you gold.
If you like grinding, when you get to the 80 lvl, you can farm champions in the train, and then sell those materials on the auction house and earn gold.

You’re honestly not going to see much gold until you hit level 80. Until then, make sure you harvest everything you come across. Also, never sell anything to an NPC vendor unless you are unable to sell it on the Black Lion Trading Post. You will always, always, always make the most on the TP. If you plan on saving everything you harvest or loot, then you will not make gold.

If you’re comfortable to try the dungeon you can do at your level, you can do all paths of the dungeon once a day and net 1g each run plus get tokens, buy armor or weapons, and savlage those to sell the materials.

Once you hit 80 and have opening up all dungeons and maps, you can “farm” certain areas and do several dungeons to make more gold.

Oh, forgot to mention that a lot of players use the Edge of the Mists WvW area for leveling and gaining loot and karma. You could try that. I don’t do that myself so I’m not the best helper in this area. Maybe someone can find you in game and show you how to do this.

You can do pvp, normal games give you few silver, ranked games, give you more silver…
You can go in WvW to lvl up.. Find some small group and run around capturing stuff, you will get karma, exp, and i think a small amount of silver..

for new players, I would say gathering materials and selling them on the TP is a really good income. crafting is too expensive and not worth it at low levels anyways; it’s really only good for your alt characters after you have some funds. Anything you can sell on the TP you can buy again for a similar price when you do need it, so don’t worry about saving things in case you need them (like I did).

t2-t5 mats are at least 1 silver each or more. I believe you can make more money salving them rather then selling them to the vendor. Remember to mine and gather mats as you play OP.

When you manage to get to level OP. Dugeons give the fastest loot, then event farm. I believe dragons and major world bosses are good was to obtain loot too,

edit: harvest herb nodes. chili peppers are worth alot.
