i understand that their is a trade post and a mailing system but my issue is how do i trust ppl with the mailing system when they can easily just take my coins or items.

You don’t.

Use the trading post. That’s what it’s there for. If you want to use the mail, you assume the risk. There is no third option.

There’s no way at the moment. Hopefully it’s something they will add soon.

I’ve used the mail quite a few times to sell stuff though. Just offer to pay or be paid half of the amount first, get/send the item, and make sure you type in the body of the email that half of the payment still needs to be made.

Then you can report for scamming and likely get your money back or the other guy banned :x

Big time trust, but I think people here are decent people. Try first with small items and coin, people will surprise you

i’m assuming they haven’t added trading so that the trading post can take the 15% cut to stop inflation

It’s funny because there was no trading post for the first 2 weeks of the release.

I’m surprised there is no trade option, considering it was the primary method of sale in GW1. I figured it would at least exist here.
