How do you do this stupid quest!!?

- white fields: Which? Where?
- without breaking stealth: is that even possible in a large area?
- do the knockout: boxing?

Lol! Looks like the OP got deleted. S/He was complaining about never getting past the golem room in the LS chapter, and included a picture of said room. I never understand why OPs delete the post instead of editing or adding to the thread, and never expect it, so I don’t tend to fill space by quoting them …
Anyway: White fields — the asura have wedges where they will see you if you unstealth while in the field.
No break stealth — Caithe is perma-stealthed in the Asura lab unless detected. Stepping in a white detection area does not make her detected, the white field goes orange if the player channels a knockout blow.
Doing the knockout — the mechanic of the instance is to sidle up behind/next to asura researchers and press F. You then channel for a couple of seconds and they get knocked out, removing their detection wedge.
Pathing — a videogame/MMO term to indicate the walking pattern of a game monster. In this part of the LS, two small golems patrol the lab and have orange circles around them. If you are touched by the orange circle, you lose stealth and everything attacks you.
Kosh — my bad. I meant cosh, as in to knock someone out with a blackjack. I either had a flashback to Babylon 5 or conflated cosh with K.O.
It was a help thread until the OP deleted their complaint about not being able to do the mechanics.
I always respect The Gap.
I just started the LS and am having trouble with the end of this quest. Is there a way to cosh Vorpp, or is the intent that Caithe fights off the entire room? I’ve managed to de-shield Vorpp twice, but he doesn’t face inwards long enough for the cosh, and the guards nearby always cover the area inside the ring of shield generators so I can’t wait and cosh him when he faces outwards.
Fighting the room so far has not worked, though part of it is the wildly unfamiliar skill set. Thanks Donari for your first post, that definitely helped (killed a couple of agents the second time around).
Perhaps the strategy is to systematically cosh the guards first, then hit the appropriate generator, stand between Vorpp and the prisoners and wait for him to turn to face outwards? I don’t recall if the guards have coverage gaps that would allow one to be coshed though.
You can’t “cosh” the guards in the final room; their shields will always stun you.
The key is to be patient. The amount of time Vorpp spends at each generator varies; sometimes he’ll only stay for a second, other times he’ll be there for 4+ seconds. Sometimes you’l have to pass up an opportunity to whack Vorpp simply because he spent too long at the previous generator and the guard’s visual arcs will swing back before you can get an attack off.
If you do aggro the guards, the best way to deal with them is to keep running around in circles around one of the platforms so the golems/guards follow you. Use skill 5 and skill 3 to damage them while you kite them, and don’t be afraid to use your elite to escape completely and reposition if things get too hairy.
What do you mean “escape completely” with the elite? It’s nice, but doesn’t put you out of combat. I tried using it to buy time to get some distance and recover some health but it didn’t really accomplish much. Just delayed the inevitable by 8s, or whatever the stealth duration is.
Yeah, you can’t escape the room, obviously, but you can use the stealth time to put a lot of distance between you and the enemies, and to buy time for your healing skill to recharge.
