Guild Wars 2

There is no guild forums, and not quite sure how you are suppose to find any, as there doesn’t seem to be much publicity for them?

I am a returning player, but really should be considered new…wanted to level up a ranger from scratch and was wondering if there are any UK/EU Guilds out there prepared to hold a hand of someone.

Alternatively I could level up a character to help in WvW or Fractals etc?

Alternatively you can ask in game. It’s probably best to go to a city if you’re looking for a general purpose guild, or if you want one that does specific types of content go there (e.g. ask in WvW for a WvW guild).

A longer-term but potentially more effective strategy is to chat to people you’re playing with, get into squads for meta-events and WvW, PvP teams, dungeon groups, whatever you’re interested in and see if any of them can recommend a good guild for you.

Sometimes an amazing thing can happen too…I had returned to the game a couple years back after being away for awhile only to find my original guild was dead. I ran solo for a bit, not actively searching for a new guild, and found myself in the not so secret jumping puzzle. There I happened upon another group of folks all guilded that were doing the jumping puzzle as well…we joked around, laughed, failed and laughed some more and it was just a heck of a fun time, eventually making it though. Next thing I know, I’m getting whispers from them and a guild invite pops up…been with these fine folks ever since. There’s nothing wrong with actively searching, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes fate will find you!
