I’m new to GW2 as in for yesterday and I put my mini cat into the wardrobe and don’t know how to get it out. Help!

Go to the hero panel (press h) > mini tab, then select you cat and equip. I believe you can right click on it, and select equip, otherwise in the preview panel there should be an equip button.
