I’m looking at the next gliding mastery past where I am. If I had it, do I find special points in the game and can now use them? Do I lean into the normal updrafts and get some different result? Etc.

In short, what is the mechanization and what would be the effect if I had the mastery?

In some points of the map there are ley lines, differently from updrafts , those can move you horizontally, when you find one and have the mastery, you can glide to it and then you’ll keep bouncing in that ley line.

That’s what it sounded like from the description, but I’ve never seen one. Perhaps I don’t know what they look like, but I’ve been in most of the airways in the game.

Can they not be seen if you don’t have the mastery, or just are they just rare occurances in general?

You can always see them. They are the multicolored light beams you see in various places associated with ley energy/lines. If you glide into one you should get a popup about them if you don’t have ley line gliding yet.

They allow you to get to certain places that are not accessible without or they let you get there faster/easier.

The amount increases a lot the further you go into the maps.
I think there is no ley line in VB, there are a couple in AB, there are a good amount in TD and in DS there are a lot, specially in the MoM fight.

Note they are unidirectional. You can see the direction they are flowing and that is the direction they’ll carry you.
