How does magic find work?
Magic find seems to increase your chance of getting rare items. For example, if you had a 1% chance of getting a rare drop, 100% magic find would boost that to 2%. Even with a lot of magic find you can still be unlucky and not get good drops.

i want to say that this depends on what are the base drop rates of said “rare” items. if it’s super low already, like Enenion’s eg illustrates, then by even having what seems a high magic find, won’t make a huge noticeable difference to the naked eye i want to say. but to go as far to say it doesn’t do anything? can’t be sure. i have gotten SLIGHTLY better loot while wearing small amounts of magic find.
though, i don’t have proof. : PP just looking at it from a mathematical perspective.
would like to know more as well.

Thank you for pointing that out!
So, a pretty useless stat in other words?

Depends how you look at it… some people might see 100% MF = x 2 the bounty.
While others might see 100% MF = +1% chance to drop for rares.
whatever it might me… RNG screws us all.
