Q:

So last night I decided to re-roll one of my classes (War) for a different race. Along with a couple of guildies of mine decided to run me to CoF so that we can do a quick P1 run to get a level or so.
On the way there we tagged some mobs and that gave insane bonus exp. I had a exp booster and a birthday booster on at the time, and each mob we killed gave me at least 5 % exp per kill.
There was one area right beneath a skill point where a bunch of tiny raptors jumped out and I managed to tag most of them as the 2 killed them and I got like 30 % exp just from killing about 10 raptors…

So back to my question is there a formula to show exactly how Bonus EXP is calculated when it comes to killing mobs (ignoring the fact that I had the 2 boosters the obvious bonus they give).
Ive head people state that you get more bonus exp for killing an add that was alive for longer, does that mean an add that’s alive longer since it spawned? Or since it entered combat to attack you?

Since it spawned.
The longer the mob is in the map without being killed, the higher is the bonus exp (till a limit of course).

EDIT: here you can read “An exploration bonus is earned based on how long a creature has been alive in the world”

Is there any concrete table or % that is made public for how it works?
Example

" If the mob is alive for an hour you gain X % bonus EXP, if the mob is alive for 2 hours you gain X % Bonus EXP?"

Anything like that?

What would you gain from that? Camp a mob to wait until it gets more bonus XP? Ask in map chat to know whether someone has been in the area recently?

From personal experience, I’d wager something along the lines of it being alive 30-60 mins will give the maximum amount of bonus XP. Then again you never know, on midlevel maps with few to no players around, mobs and events tend to stay for a while.

No idea of a formula but chances are that anything in yellow text probably hasn’t been killed in a while

Yeah, i wouldnt really gain much by knowing it, but was more curious if there was any information on it.
