At level 80, how much hero points will I need to max everything out?

At level 80, you’ll have all the points you need even if you haven’t touched any hero challenges. For the core specs, that is. You’ll need a whole lot more for the elite line.

Just by getting to lvl 80 you’ll have points enough to unlock everything.
But we don’t know how many you’ll need to max the elite specializations when hot launch

Well doing them does mean you have more points available as you level which means you may be able to unlock more skills or traits earlier than if you just get the ones from leveling.

I done all hero challenges already (100% map completion), am at Lvl 80 with maxed out every trait and specialization, and I have 200 hero points with nothing to do.

You are missing 13 hero points. Have you explored WvW yet?
