In real life money?

I got my kudzu last week and I was taking a bit of a break to rest (took bloddy amounts of my energy to get that done), and I was curious… just how much money (real life money, in dollars) does it take to fully purchase one of these things? Can anyone create a list of all the legendaries with their most current price tag in real life money?

There are several websites out there where you can buy legendaries for cash. I’m not going to tell you where because it’s against the EULA and Terms to do anything of the sort. Suffice to say they don’t technically have a $ price tag because it’s against the law…technically.

Probably about 400-500 dollars for the average legendary btw.

1) Look up prices on TP

2) Look up cost to buy gems in online store

3) Look at current gem to gold conversion rate

4) Calculate cost of legendary

Go to this website, search for X legendary, and get the value of it in gold. Then, multiply that number by 0.52, which is the current conversion rate between gold and US dollars. Now you know the value of a legendary in RL US dollars.

For instance, Twilight right now would cost $1008 to buy outright from the gem store.

Kudzu in in the 800$+, I find it kind of affordable actually… Basically my character has an 800$ weapon in his hands LOL although others have far more bling in their character.

I wonder how the gold farmers and bots can sell them so much cheaper…that blows my mind that there is still even an active farming operation going on in this game, much less it’s cheaper than Anet’s prices.

1: RMT websites often don’t deliver or deliver and hack you a few hours later to take it back. They also get a lot of stuff for free through the accounts they hack for the bots they are using. So basically they can create it cheap through thievery.

2: The value of a weapon that is farmed is a lot less. If you farm all the materials, make your own precursor and do all the actual work you only have to pay 120 gold.

So yeah, if you value your account don’t use RMT website (goldsellers). RMT-ers are highly organised cyber criminals. If you don’t get screwed by them, then very likely Arenanet founds out and bans you anyways.

A lot of them farm CoF now instead of just running a script that loops.
